DONE!


Today is day 90 and I completed my workout.  My kids made it extra special today, as both were awake and climbing all over me the whole time.  I am so glad to be done and move on with my life.  I'm glad I committed to this and I'm proud of myself.  I am my own worst critic so I wish I lost more weight.  However, I'm not done working out and improving my health so I'll probably lose more eventually.

Here are my results:

I lost a total of 7 lbs. and 12.5 in. overall.  I don't look completely different, but I made an improvement.  I had hoped to be lean, however I'm still ex-gymnastlike (which is stocky). 
Did I mention that I'm so excited to be done?!?

Thank you to you everyone who encouraged me throughout this journey.  I hope you complete your journeys as well. I just wanted to encourage you to fit in your workouts.  You will feel so much better if you do.  I know I had the excuse as a mom of two young children that there just wasn't enough time in the day for it.  However, watch these videos and you will see you just have to include your kids sometimes :)

  1. Ok, I just read through your entire blog to catch up on your journey....and it was great! I love the honest emotion in all the posts...and the best part was seeing how different you felt (emotions) in each post from day to day. I can totally relate to this. Some days I'm feeling great about everything....some days I hate the world and feel like I'm getting nowhere. And I must say....there is a HUGE difference from week 1 to week 12! I know you wish you lost more lbs but the problem is, you were clearly gaining muscle so that was effecting the scale too. Did you measure your body fat % at all? That's really the best tool for measuring success (well that and how you look obviously:) But I just want to tell you that you look REALLY good. Your muscles (even though you're not a huge fan) look fantastic and your curves are in the right places. You have definately leaned out. Another bit of encouragement: Keep going. My first time around was 11 weeks total...and I didn't actually get exactly where I needed/wanted to be. But now that I'm back on it...it is easier the second time around and my physique is still getting better. It definately takes LOTS of time and fitness is never a destination (unfortunately).... it is a constant journey. That's one thing I had to get over real fast.... I can NEVER go back to my old ways of eating and non-exercise- unless I want to look gross again. :) Anyways, hope I don't sound too preachy or as if I'm all wise in the fitness category cuz I'm still a work in progress myself. It's just really cool to see what you've done and be able to relate our experiences. You really do grow a lot as a person. Well, much love dear friend. Proud of you!
